Meet Michael Luzich
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael Luzich is the Founder of Luzich Partners LLC, a multi-strategy investment firm. Not only does he have a remarkable business background spanning multiple verticals, but Michael has also established a reputation as a successful entrepreneur and international investor for more than 30 years. Through his incredible leadership and business dedication, Luzich Partners currently focuses on public and private equity, real estate development and event-driven investments, including spin-offs, distressed asset sales, and reorganizations.
Before Michael was the founder of the ever successful, he founded Peninsula Gaming Partners LLC, the largest privately-owned casino company in America, including the nation’s largest horse track, stabling over 1,000 thoroughbred racehorses. Peninsula Gaming grew exponentially through acquisitions and the development of four greenfield gaming properties. In 2012, the company produced approximately $205 million of EBITDA. By November of the same year, the company was sold for $1.45 billion, plus an earn-out. Once the deal was finalized, Peninsula’s equity investors achieved a return of over 100 times their initial investment.
With his uncanny ability to seize good business opportunities, Michael Luzich recognized the multitude of opportunities presented by global investment and established a successful international trading firm. From the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America, his international projects were happening all around the world. In addition to his international investments in operating companies, Michael also pursued real estate development opportunities worldwide.
Outside of his international business career, Michael Luzich is also an accomplished racer who has competed around the globe. Michael Luzich has a love for auto racing that is very much in line with his commitment in his business ventures to always remain “ahead of the curve.” As both a driver himself and more recently as the owner of Luzich Racing Ltd., Michael has achieved considerable success in the sport. Most significantly, in the 2019 Le Mans Series debut, Luzich Racing won the European Le Mans Series and returned to race again in 2020.
As a man of many ventures, Michael Luzich has always appreciated the importance of giving back to his community and the world. To both honor his parents and keep his commitment to charitable giving, Michael created the Norman and Carol Luzich Glaucoma Fund and contributes regularly to the Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego. The fund provides four-year funding for an interdisciplinary team of 10 scientists from an array of ophthalmology and eye centers. As a dedicated conservationist, he has always promoted global wildlife sustainability which led him to his work with the Mzuri Wildlife Foundation.
Whether it be international business, auto racing, or making a charitable impact on the world, Michael Luzich is a force to be reckoned with.
